Emily Dutcher discovered her interest in photography during her senior year at the University of Oklahoma, where she won an intercollegiate photography competition. After graduating in 1996 with a degree in advertising, she continued studying with professional photographers in Italy, Santa Fe, Washington DC , and Big Sur. She incorporates her knowledge of layout and design into her photography. Emily's photographs capture fascinating people, abstract images and architectural elements encountered during her travels.

In April of 2006, Emily served as the official photographer for the James Garner Plaza Dedication in Norman. In addittion, several of her photographs were published in the Historical Atlas of Oklahoma.

Her recent work highlights photos taken on her trip around the world with National Geographic Expeditions...where they traveled to 11 countries in 22 days. A selection of her photographs from this trip were featured on the cover and in an 8 page spread in the Anchora, Delta Gamma Sorority's national magazine, in their winter 2007 issue.
